Team Events |
After two successful and well-received Teams matches we’ve been trying to arrange some more. This is advance notice of what we’ve pencilled in so far.
Friendly online teams’ match with Petersfield Bridge Club - BBO at 19.00 on Wednesday 20th August (tbc)
And
Friendly online teams’ match with Patcham Bridge Club - BBO at 19.30 on Tuesday 9th September
We are looking for anyone and everyone that would like to play. As we try to put together 6 teams (that’s 6 teams of 4 people, 24 in total) so this is a great opportunity for many of our Club members to take part.
It doesn’t matter whether you are experienced at tournament play, or someone who plays at our Gentle Bridge sessions, or someone somewhere in between, perhaps a regular player but not in tournaments, as you will be matched against players of a similar level to you.
The matches will be short – just 16 boards – so will probably take about 2-2 ½ hours. And all you need to do is to put yourselves forward and be online when the match starts.
Please put the dates in your diary. Details of how to enter will follow closer to the date.
Friendly face to face teams’ match at Bognor Regis Bridge Club
Confirmation of the date (hopefully in October or November) and details of how to enter will follow closer to the date.

Mini Bridge in Schools May 2025 |
On the afternoon of Friday 23 May a group of nine children from year 5, Fishbourne Primary School took part in a mini bridge tournament. This was the culmination of seven months of learning. The children were ‘super excited’ and everyone had a great time with prizes, snacks and five hands of bridge. Equally importantly, they have all gained the Mini Bridge award and will be presented with certificates in an assembly after half term.

Julie and Roger's Farewell Evening at the Club |
We gathered to bid farewell to Julie and Roger on their final evening at the club before their move. A drinks party was held ahead of our usual teams evening, which drew a fantastic turnout with 10 tables in play. Julie and Roger will be greatly missed, and we look forward to welcoming them back for a visit in the future!
