If you don’t have a partner pre-arranged for Monday evenings then come along and you will either play with the Host or you will be matched up with someone else looking to also play.  Try to arrive for 6.30pm and make yourself known to the Director.

We are introducing an overall Duplicate Pairs competition for the current calendar year (2025).  This will include all played and scored duplicate pairs sessions - generating an average score for the year.  The averages are then compared against the previous calendar year (2024).

To qualify your partnership must:

• both be bridge members (croquet and tennis members qualify)
• at the end of the year you must have played as a partnership at least 20 times

There is nothing stopping you from playing with multiple partners, but for each partnership the above conditions apply.

A prize will be awarded to the partnership that have improved their average score the most when compared to the previous year.

Monthly Duplicate Bridge Competition Evening

Held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month

Prize/s awarded for the winning pair/s.

Only members, visitors not eligible.

To qualify for the prize/s you and your partner will need to have played (together/individually) at least once on a regular Wednesday evening session earlier that same month.

As with any duplicate bridge event, the winner/s on the evening might change as and when scoring issues are resolved in the day/s following the event.  Prize/s will therefore not be awarded at the end of the evening, but at the very next opportunity.

In the event that the first place winner/s are not eligible, then the prizes will be awarded to second place winner/s.  If the second place winner/s are not eligible then the prizes will be added to the overall yearly competition prize.
