Beginners' Course starting September 2024

Looking to play Bridge in the Grantham area!

Welcome to Grantham Bridge Club, an EBU club and part of the Leicestershire CBA We play a mixture of face-to-face and online bridge to suit all abilities including duplicate, gentle duplicate and supervised play sessions.

New members are welcome, but please complete the Membership Application Form.

Venue and Weekly Sessions

Every Monday evening at 7pm we hold a F2F duplicate pairs session at Barrowby Memorial Hall.

Tuesday evening at 6:45 pm we are holding a Duplicate session on Realbridge.

We run a Gentle Duplicate pairs session every Wednesday morning at 9.45am on Bridge Base Online (BBO)

A Next Steps session is held every Wednesday morning at 9:30am at Barrowby Reading Rooms. We welcome all players who want to gain confidence and develop their Bridge under the supervision of experienced players in a relaxed and friendly environment. No partner required.

Every Thursday afternoon at 1.45pm, we hold a Friendly Duplicate session on RealBridge.

For RealBridge, we are pleased to tell you that we have several club members who are very willing to support anyone needing advice on getting the best use of Realbridge to suit their needs. Links to the RealBridge Player Guide and their camera/microphone test page are in the panel below the EBU Master Points Promotions Panel to the right, and it is recommended that players new to RealBridge have a look at these. Members who would still like additional support should contact us at granthambridgeclub@gmail.com.

Gimson Final

Bill Barclay and Stuart Ennals won this prestigious County Pairs championship very convincingly with a score of 66.99%. They beat some excellent pairs as shown on the results which can be found here. Bill and Stuart can now represent Leicestershire in the Corwen Cup, the National Championship for Counties Pairs Champions. Congratulations both for putting GBC on the map with this fantastic win!

LCBA 9 High Corwen Qualifier

Congratulations to Mark and Deborah Taylor who won this competition. They have now qualified for the National 9 High Corwen Qualifier, along with Lou Badcock and Carol Hulse who came third.. Well done all.

Summer Social
