It is with great sadness that we report that Mike passed away on Sunday 18th May. Mike was a Life Member of the Club and he and his first wife Jean were regular players here and at Windermere for many years. Following Jean’s death, Mike moved away but continued to play occasionally in our BBO sessions and also for Westmorland in the Northern Bridge League. Our deepest sympathies go to his wife Sue, who had also been a member at Windermere, his relatives, and to his many friends.

Congratulations to Andrew Peill who was promoted to Advanced Master during April, to John Sellar and Shaffin Jaffer who became Area Masters during the month, and Jennifer Whalley who became a Club Master at the same time.

| Keswick Match Result |

Kendal lost its match played against Keswick on Sunday 13th April 2025 by 27 IMPs.
So Keswick retain the Dunmail Plate. But we did enjoy splendid refreshments at half time.

 Tim Harrison and Richard Brazier won the final heat of the Carson Cup to confirm themselves as overall winners with an average score of 61.52%, ahead of Mike & Sally-Ann Rothwell (59.58%) and Jeremy Harris & Russell White (59.47%).
