Best Behaviour at Bridge
Best Behaviour at Bridge

"Bridge is an extremely enjoyable game. Courteous behaviour is an exceptionally important part of that enjoyment.

If a player at the table, whether face-to-face or online, behaves in an unacceptable manner, the director should be called immediately."

Please call the Director if you think you may have been affected by bad behaviour.

If you feel that the matter was not resolved, you should make an official complaint to Pat Ramsay.

Oswestry BC would not tolerate bad behaviour!

You will be helping others as well as yourselves.

Percentages of Card Division between two hidden hands

Cards out
If there are only two cards out against you the chances of a 1:1 split as opposed to 2:0 are similar (52% and  48% respectively)
 ...but
for 3 or more cards
Even cards probably do not split evenly.
Example: if there are four cards out against you a 3:1 split is the most likely (50%).  The chances of a 2:2 split are only 41%

Odd cards probably do split as evenly as possible.
Example: if there are three cards out against you the chances of a 2:1 split are 78% and the chances of 3:0 split are only 22%
