Congratulations to Israel Montanez and Anqi Yin who were each chosen to receive a $1000 scholarship from the Sedona Bridge Center.

Annette Pettit was on hand to represent the Sedona Bridge Center at the awards ceremony.

The scholarship committee reviewed applicants for several qualifications.  A candidate with a good grade point average, a life outside of the school, and a life showing respect for family were important. Most important to us was a financial need for more resouces.  Anqi Yin and Israel Montanez are both accepted to Arizona State University.

Judith Penvenne

October 15, 1947 — April 19, 2025

Sedona

Judith C. Penvenne, born on October 15, 1947, in Niagara Falls, NY, to Dr. Edward P. Czerwin and Martha Jankowski, passed away peacefully in her home in Sedona, AZ on April 19, 2025, at the age of 77. Judith became an amazing leader in her field where she made her indelible mark as a renowned consultant in business processes for DuPont and Accenture. Judith holds several patents in her field and was known as a pioneer for women in her industry.

Judith loved playing bridge with her Sedona Bridge Family, making art and spending time in beautiful Sedona.

Celebration of Judith’s remarkable life will be held with heartfelt ceremonies in Sedona, AZ. Specific details regarding the services will be shared soon with her family and beloved friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Pets Return Home in Clarkdale, AZ where Judith met her best friend, Sophie. Judith is survived by her 5 brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, including Brian Czerwin who she helped raise.

 Judith will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
