Any members proposals to the AGM should have been sent to the Club Secretary least one week prior to the AGM.
Nomination forms for SBC Committee were available at club sessions in each venue from Friday 18th April. Nominations needed a proposer & seconder signed up on the form.

Any coming to the AGM might like to supply some food or drink for the occasion. Pat Martin is co-ordinating the catering so please email or ring Pat on 01785 223748 for advice on what would be the most welcome items to bring.to ensure widest variety.

Lessons are currently at Tixall village Hall, ST18 0XT at 9:45 for 10 a.m. from June 2025 lessons will be at Beaconside Conference Centre ST18 0BF

Lessons:
- Robin's intermediate lessons: Thursday morning lessons. On 1st Thursday of the month this will will normally be played as a duplicate session.
- Terry's Improvers lessons: Friday morning lessons. On 3rd Friday of the month this will will normally be played as a duplicate session.
Robin has produced plenty of material for the website, including one on Splinter bids, Gambling 3NT, CRO, Redoubles, Trial Bids, Jacoby and his all time most read page on McKenny signals and Discards. Summary of his lessons can be seen here with links to the individual lessons.
Robin's Thursday morning popular lessons for intermediates start at 10 a.m. (please contact Robin if you would like to attend) as do Terry's Friday morning lessons for improvers (please contact Terry if you would like to attend those). | Shelley 2024/25 - Round 6 Thursday 15th May |

Sixth, and final 2024-25 season, round played on Thursday 15th May
Sixth round raw results see here (hand files corrected 7pm 16th May), handicapped results here. The overall winning result so conclusive David was able to announce and take photo of the winners on the night, Janet's team. Photo of those that played on the final night shown, one key player missing on the 15th May so an edit to include Pam will be necessary! Congratulations to Janet and her team.
Summer holidays have arrived meaning a large number of subs took part, at least one sub in every team, one team even had 3 subs two of whom had played in the team before but the third had never taken part in the Shelley before!
Everything ran very smoothly on the night as usual under David's direction. Minor worry as the laptop not immediately spotted, it was actually sitting vertically on office chair packed and ready to take to room 11! Many thanks to David for directing (and calculating the handicaps this time) and Terry for dealing 4 sets of boards to make such an easy movement.
