| Bank Holiday Venues when Haling Dene is closed |
Arrangements over forthcoming Bank Holiday periods
Members may be aware that the Haling Dene Centre is closed on Bank Holidays, and also on Tuesdays following the four main Bank Holiday Mondays. Alternative arrangements for our sessions at Haling Dene have therefore been made, as shown below.
(Friday 18th April, Holmcroft This session will go ahead, arrive by 6.45 for a 7.00 start)

 Fifth round played on Thursday 17th April 6:45 for 7 p.m. at Haling Dene

Janet's team now in the lead with cumulative score of +30, second Carol's team with +7, third Michael's team with -4 and fourth Ann's team with -33. Many thanks to David for directing and scoring and Terry for all the dealing (4 sets of boards!!!) and handicap calculations.
With only 4 teams Terry deals 4 sets of boards so easy to play without having to pass boards round. David keeps an ear alert to silence any post-mortem discussion!
All to play for in the last round on May 15th - make sure you mark the date in your diary!

| Many, Many congratulations Robin and Dave |
Robin and Dave, playing on RealBridge, came top in the Midlands regional area heat of the EBU National Pairs competition played over 48 boards on 23rd March 2025. This followed their success in the Midlands regional qualifier session on 11th March at Haling Dene. The National final was played over the weekend with April 12th/13th where they played 4 sessions each of 24 boards against other top ranking players from Eastern, Midlands, Northern, South East and South West regions in which they came 15th overall see here.
