Congratulations

Every week presents numerous learning opportunities.
Remember, every great bridge player was once a beginner, and who knows, you might make a few new friends along the way—so let’s deal you in for some laughter and learning!
Mentor-Mentee Focus pairs on Tuesdays.
At the St. Petersburg Bridge Club, we’re all about building strong connections at the table, and our Mentor-Mentee pairs on Tuesdays are a perfect way to do just that! This delightful initiative not only helps developing players master bidding and play techniques but also boosts their confidence as they shuffle their way through the game. We kindly ask for a commitment of six games from both mentors and mentees, because consistency is the key to unlocking your full potential in bridge! So, don’t be shy—reach out to Catherine Vogel to arrange your partnership and let the good times roll! Remember, in the world of bridge, it’s not just about the cards you hold, but the friendships you forge
Wednesday Mornings are for under 50 mp players!
Every Wednesday morning at 9, the St. Petersburg Bridge Club opens its doors for a delightful supervised play game where the atmosphere is as warm and inviting as a fresh cup of coffee! Asking questions is not only welcomed but encouraged! Plus, you don’t need to worry about finding a partner, so just grab your enthusiasm and come join the fun! It’s a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills in a relaxed environment while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow bridge enthusiasts. And you can earn those coveted masterpoints in a friendly game. As long as there are two tables, the game is official!
Thursday afternoon at 12:30 for a unique play-and-learn session
At the St. Petersburg Bridge Club, both beginners and intermediate players alike are warmly welcomed to enhance their bridge skills in a nurturing environment. During this interactive experience, every table plays the same hand, then reviews it, providing a fantastic opportunity for thoughtful discussions on bidding strategies and gameplay techniques. Whether you come solo or bring a partner, you will find a supportive community of fellow bridge enthusiasts eager to connect, share insights, and grow together.
Friday at 10:00 Sheryl will be giving another highly informative talk from our intermediate quick reference deck.

SUMMER CLASSES
SUMMER CLASSES
Let’s Party!!!
On Tuesday morning, August 5, Merry is having a bridge party!
Come at nine a.m. for coffee, coffee cake, and a mini-lesson. All for free!!
From 9:30 to 11:30, there will be a supervised play game. We play hands from a real game, but you can ask questions during the play, and discuss the hands after playing them. No points are awarded, but you will learn a lot!
This party is intended for newer players, but more experienced players are always welcome if this sounds like fun and you want to help nurture new players.  You can come with a partner, but don’t need one. Merry will pair people up once you are here.
Make a day of it, if you want. Bring a sandwich for lunch and stay for the mentor/mentee game at noon.
RSVP to Merry at mschainblatt@gmail.com so she can guesstimate how much coffee cake to bring, but you can still come if you forget to let her know. The more players, the better!
