Stratford upon Avon Bridge Club extends a warm welcome to members, students, and visitors. We are a thriving friendly club located in Old Town.  

With around 400 members, we run a variety of bridge sessions 6 days a week suitable for both novice and experienced players.  We welcome new members and visitors.

We have an extensive teaching programme running from September to May each year and also have regular master classes.

♥ Thursday 27 at 1.30pm - Club competition - One-off teams

You can turn up as a pair and be teamed up on the day or come as a team of four. To be eligible to be called the winner, no more than two team members can have NGS 10 or higher on 31 August 2024. You can still participate if you don’t meet this criteria. 

♠ Monday 31 March to Thursday 3 April - Bridge Club Holiday - Hayling Island

Let Lynne Ballinger know if you want to go but aren’t booked on yet. We have a short waiting list, so it is possible you will get to go. We will be running the vast majority of club bridge sessions in this period. 

These events supplement our normal weekly timetable of bridge and teaching sessions. 

Improver sessions

• Signals in trump suit & when to lead trumps -Wednesday 26 March at 10:00. 

These sessions are suitable for everyone and cost £12.60 payable on the day. There is no need to book.

April Events 

♣ Wednesday 23 April 1.30pm - Playing Suit Contracts

Following a successful session in February, Graham Cope will be running his second ‘Jack High’ training sessions. Cost is £19.80 payable on the day. Sign up at the club or email.

♦ Sunday 27 April at 1.30pm - Mentored Novice Pivot Teams

If you have less than 4 years’ bridge playing experience and less than 2,500 master points, you have the excellent opportunity to enter this mentored teams event at our club. There will be teams of four - three students and one mentor. Cost is £20 per team. Sign up at the club or email.
