Did you know that

When it is determined after play ends that a player’s hand originally contained more than 13 cards with another player holding fewer, the result must be cancelled and an adjusted score awarded (Law 86B may apply). An offending contestant is liable to a procedural penalty.

Apologies to everyone who played in last night’s teams event. Unfortunately, I had told the computer to play the reverse movement to which we played and thus the results are invalid. My fault. I have attempted to retrieve results without success and thus there will be no results posted this week.

 

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2026

It was decided at the AGM on 11th March that table fees will be reduced - returned to what they were before last year's AGM:

  • £2 for Face-to-Face sessions
  • 50p for RealBridge online sessions

The change will take place from 1st April.

A draft copy of the meeting minutes is now available on the website in the Membership Area.

The EBU have made some changes to the Rules for Alerting and Announcing.

The main change that applies to us is that you no longer need to Announce a point count when Partner opens 2NT.
