The club was saddened to learn of the passing of Wallace Leadbitter. Following a nasty fall, he was admitted to Hairmyres hospital where he died peacefully on Sunday 18^th May. Wallace was a longtime member of Biggar Bridge club and loved the game. He was a skilled and crafty player with a cheerful sense of humour and will be sadly missed by all. Our thoughts are with his wife, Margot and family at this sad time.

Wallace's funeral will be on Friday 30^th May at 11am in Symington.

As there is an overlap between leaving our premises and starting in the Rugby club, we will be running BBO competitions at the usual times from next week. This will continue for 2/3 weeks. Please contact the usual TD for advice on playing in them or Steven for any technical assistance. 

There are sessions on Mondays at 1:30pm, Tuesdays at 2pm and Wednesday evenings at 7pm. For ANY session, please make sure that you arrive NOT later than 10 minutes before the advertised start time.

Founded in 1997, the Club has a membership of around 75 coming from Biggar and many places in surrounding areas. The Club has now obtained a new home at 21 North Back Road. Face-to-Face Bridge in our new premises takes place on Mondays at 1:30, Tuesdays at 2pm and Wednesdays at 7pm.

The club is affiliated to the Scottish Bridge Union and is a member of the West District.
