EVANSVILLE DUPLICATE BRIDGE CLUB
In May, we'll be playing lots of Grass Roots and Glitter Point Games.
And coming in May...
Thar's gold in this here club!!!!!
Four is Enough on May 15--see below for instructions.*
May 19, 25% Silver Points
May 29-June 1, 25% Gold Points
* How Four is Enough (F-i-E) works. F-i-E is played just like a regular pair game, except with a different way of choosing a partner.
Players are divided roughly in thirds; 0-700, 701-2200 and 2201+
The first third players are 1s, the second third are 2s and the rest are 3s.
Your partnership can have a rating of no more than 4. Legal combinations are 1+3, 2+2, 2+1 and 1+1.
So please, take steps to find a partner you haven't played with before. If you are a 1, remember only threes can partner with you. They'll be looking for you.
It will be fun!

♥ Have we got a deal for you!?!?!♥
Starting on Sunday, April 27 and running through Sunday, May 25, play in our Sunday e-Club game, either the 0-300 at 1:45 or the Open at 2, paying our regular $6 fee. On the following day, play in our regular Monday 0-300 or Open game for only $4! The offer is good only on that day and is not transferrable. Questions? Call/text Linda at 812.455.6710.
♥ This Saturday, May 3, the Saturday 0-300 Game is back! ♥
♥ The 0-300 game will be at 12:30 every Saturday, concurrent with the Open game, so long as we are drawing at least two full tables, the minimum to award masterpoints.♥
♥ If there are insufficient players to run a 0-300 game, we invite all to join the open game. ♥

A note about Clubhouse games: when EDBC has an e-Club game scheduled, we hope you will play with us. When you are searching for a game at other times, please consider the Clubhouse; your home club gets a portion of the game fees.
♦ ACBL Clubhouse is changing it's game lineup frequently. Please check them out on BBO to find the games you want to join♦
The ACBL Clubhouse offers a schedule of pair and individual games throughout the day, everyday. All levels, from 0-20 to Open, are available. A portion of the fee for each Clubhouse registration is remitted to the player's home club.
The Clubhouse is also the only source of "Glitter Points" (silver, red, gold) on BBO, with the exception of certain special events.
Our eClub games will be held on Sunday & Friday at our regular times.

EDBC Face-to-Face Schedule
(O=Open, L= 0-300, N=0-20)
Monday & Thursday - O & L, 12:30 p.m.
Saturday - O , 12:30 p.m.
Game fees:
F2F games are $8 each, BBO games are $6 each. All Open and Limited F2F games are "special" which means points paid are higher than the standard club rates. Some even more special games, such as STaC, will pay silver, red or gold points. There will also be occasional special games on BBO, most of which pay double black points.
ACBL lifted restrictions on who can play in VACB games, so we hope we will attract more of our own members as well as those from other clubs. If you have an ACBL-member friend not associated with EDBC it will be much simpler to get them into our games. Contact Linda Cleek if you have questions.
BBO Open Stratified Games:
Tuesday & Friday 12:40 PM CT
Sunday 2:00 PM CT
BBO 0-300 Stratified Games:
Tuesday 12:15 PM CT
Sunday 1:45 PM CT
Note: Birthdays will be celebrated on the second Thursday of each month with the club providing cake. The fourth Saturday will be a carry-in lunch with the Club providing tea and lemonade. Attendees should register in advance (list at the Club) and bring a covered dish. There will be BOTH Open and 0-300 games.
Check this site and email notifications from our president for ongoing changes as we try to adapt to the needs and wants of our players. If you want to insure the continued success of EDBC, please support EDBC and ACBL with your participation in EDBC games at the Club and on BBO (VACB141994)!
