Open to all KCBA primary and associate members born in or before 1961, only £6 per player, on RealBridge

Played online on RealBridge but with Self-Alerting as on BBO (hopefully those who enjoy BBO and RealBridge will find this compromise appealing and KCBA hopes for more entries with the event being online hence avoiding travel).

36-39 boards with a break half way through of around 20 minutes. [Sessions from 1pm - approx 6pm]

Starting at 1pm with an approx finishing time of 6pm.  As usual, 20% of entry fees will be given in prizes, with a prize for the leading pairs both NGS9 and below.

Online Swiss Pairs - Blue Pointed - Saturday 16th May 2026

All players welcome, from Kent or wider afield, whatever your ability. You play pairs with roughly the same score after round 1 (which is a random draw). If there are a good number of non-expert pairs then there will be a prize for the highest placed non-expert pair. 

PRIZES: to top 10% of pairs playing, using 20% of entry fees:    including  prize for the leading NE pair (both players NGS 9 or below)

Larsky Final - Saturday 28th March 2026

Larsky Final County Pairs Championship - 28th March 2026    (GREEN POINTED)

Having qualified in a club and competed in a semifinal, 26 pairs are now confirmed as having qualified for the Larsky County Pairs Final, a GREEN POINTED competition, being run on Saturday 28th March 2026, at Maidstone Civil Service Club, Recreation Close, Maidstone ME14 5AZ.  Session 1: 22 boards (10.30pm - 1.15pm) , then Session 2: 28 boards (1.45pm – 5.15pm)   

30 min break between sessions - where a few  sandwiches, something savoury, cake and tea/coffee will be available. 

Tea/coffee biscuits will be available throughout play. 

Green points awarded to all places, 7 GP for winners.

Mike Kingsland

We are sorry to report that Mike died recently in hospital, funeral arrangements unknown. 

He was a leading Kent player for many years, won over 20 cups including Congress Pairs 3 times, Arnold, Congress Owl Cup twice etc. He also won Harold Poster cup when it was held at Brighton & they had hundreds of pairs. The NS/EW winners / Howell winners get a free Saturday game. After each event a commentary on the hands is sent out to all players.

The organisers check the NGS grades via an automated check on the EBU database on Friday afternoon and would be grateful if pairs would enter by 12noon on Friday. Any entries after this time need to be manually checked and incur extra work. Many thanks

EASTER CONGRESS 2026 - IMPROVERS PAIRS

Monday 6th April 2026, Improvers Pairs on BBO, as part of the EBU Easter Congress

Open to players who are NGS 9 & below on Saturday 4th April.

  • This event is aimed at club players who are interested in taking the first steps into congress bridge but who may have found it daunting to jump straight into a major congress event. 
  • The format will be two 18 board sessions with a break between the sessions. Players can play in either or both sessions.

Jack High Pairs Event on BBO - Sunday 26th April 2026

We invite you to enter Kent's Jack High event for players graded 7-Jack on the NGS, playing on BBO

Kent plans to run these on the last Sunday of each month. 

An 18 board session, 2.30pm - 4.45pm.      PLEASE CLICK HERE TO ENTER

Open to Kent Primary and Associate members only who are NGS Jack & Below on the Friday before the event.
