Morrie Marsh Novice Pairs Competition Thursday 15th May |
The Morrie Marsh competition for novice pairs will take place on Thursday 15th May at 7.15pm at Oxford Bridge Club. This will be in place of the usual Supervised Play session.
The competition is open to 'novice pairs' - players who have fewer than 200 masterpoints (below Club Master). Players who are members of Oxford Bridge Club and those who haven't previously won a club trophy are eligible to win the Morrie Marsh Trophy and will have their names added to the club's Honours' board. Masterpoints will be awarded to eligible players.
We'll play 14-18 boards and table money is £4. For full competition rules click here. To book tickets please click here.

New Relaxed Session Starting 1st May |
A new Relaxed Session is being launched on Thursday evenings to run along side the Supervised Play. The Relaxed Session will be for players who want to improve their game but don't feel confident enough to play in a full club session.
Bridge for All students will receive 5 vouchers to attend either the Relaxed Session or Supervised Play free of charge. For anyone else wishing to join either group the fee is £4. This will give new and returning players an ideal opportunity to get used to playing at the club in a non-competitive environment. Do come and join us, you don't need to book just turn up.

Thursday evening 9-High Pairs to become Jack-High |
The Thursday evening 9-High Pairs session is changing to Jack-High, with effect from Thursday 1 May. To play in this session both players must have an NGS of Jack or below. This change is being made in response to a consultation by the Bridge Committee with Thursday evening players.
Additionally, the number of boards played will increase to 20, with an extra round if there's a half table. Undos will be allowed for misclicks in the bidding only, and not for misclicks during the play of the cards.
