| New Duplicate Bridge Game for Newer Players |
If you have under 50 MP and want to improve your bridge skills, meet new people, and have some fun, this game is for you. The game will be held every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 9:00 AM. This is a Director led game, where players will learn to use the scoring machines and receive a printout of the hand records. The cost to play is $6.00. This Director led game will replace the Play and Learn game on the above mentioned Wednesdays. Just come and Maureen will arrange partnerships before each game.

| Our Duplicate Bridge Games |
The following is a list of our games. If you are a member of our club, the cost to play* is $9.00 per game (or buy a 3-play ticket for $25.00). If you are not a member of our club, costs are 11.00 per play. Coffee/tea is included. Bring a partner and please arrive at least 15 minutes before the game start time to allow our Directors sufficient time to set up the game. * Cash only please.
Regularly scheduled games:
Monday 1:00 PM – There are two games that are offered, which play at the same time. Under 100MP - Both players must have under 100MP. (Generally fewer Boards are played which allows more time for play per Board. Cost for this game is only $6.00) and an Open game – this game is open to all players
Tuesday 1:00 PM –Two players with under 750MP may play in this game. PBC Board has decided to allow players with over 750MP to play in the Tuesday game as long as they play with a player with UNDER 750MP.
Wednesday 1:00 PM Open Game - This game is open to all players.
Wednesday Night Game -Cancelled until further notice
Thursday 1:00 PM Similar to the Tuesday game, players with over 750MP may play in this game as long as they play with a player with UNDER 750MP. Two Players with 0-750 MP may play in this game.
Friday 1:00 PM Open Game – this game is open to all players
Special games:
Saturday Birthday Game - Birthday games are held the second Saturday of each month at 1:00 PM. This is an Open Game. All Bridge Club members with birthdays in the month play for free. Birthday cake and fruit for all!
Saturday Swiss Team – The next Swiss Team game is scheduled for Saturday April 26th at 1:00 PM. We encourage members to sign-up using the sheet posted at the club, as we need 5 teams to run this game.

| Our Bridge Lessons |
The Peterborough Bridge Club recognizes the important role that bridge lessons play in attracting new members to the game of duplicate bridge and to our club. We have gifted teachers who provide lessons and share their knowledge and time.
Beginner Bridge Lessons - Exercise your mind, meet new friends, and have some fun
Maureen Nichols provides beginner bridge lessons on Monday morning at the club. Maureen is a master of the game and successful teacher of hundreds of students, most of whom quickly learn to love the game and become members of the club. These lessons are designed to teach bridge to players new to the game or players wishing to refresh and update their skills. For further information please call Maureen at 705-874-6019 or email her at mo.nichols13@gmail.com. The lessons cost $6.00 per class.
Maureen also leads Play and Learn classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 - 11:00 AM (costs are $6.00 per class). These classes are designed for players who have learned the basics and wish to practice their bidding and play of the hand. The format for the Play and Learn sessions are a short refresher lesson followed by a fun bridge game with instructors available to answer questions. Please contact Maureen for further details.
Friday Morning Lessons -Improve your bidding and play of the hand!
Dwight Goden has been teaching bridge at the club for a number of years. He is a gold master and an accredited ACBL teacher. If you have the basics of bridge and want to improve your bidding, knowledge of conventions, defense, and play of the hand, you should consider taking Dwight's classes. Costs are $6.00 per class. For further information please contact Dwight . The classes usually have a 1/2 hour lesson followed by playing boards related to the lesson.

SWISS TEAMS GAME THERE IS NO SWISS TEAM GAME SCHEDULED IN MARCH DUE TO A LACK OF AVAILABLE DIRECTORS. WE HOPE TO OFFER A GAME IN APRIL. WATCH FOR FURTHER DETAILS
MARCH BIRTHDAY GAME MARCH'S BIRTHDAY GAME WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY MARCH 8TH AT 1:00 P.M. MEMBERS WITH A MARCH BIRTHDAY WILL PLAY FOR FREE. CAKE AND FRUIT WILL BE SERVED. COME JOIN US FOR AN ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON OF BRIDGE. PLEASE SIGN UP IN ADVANCE AT THE CLUB.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE HELD FROM MONDAY MARCH 3 TO SATURDAY MARCH 8 ( INCLUDING THE BIRTHDAY GAME). THERE WIILL BE NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THESE GAMES
ACBL-WIDE SILVER SENIOR PAIRS WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY NARCH 10TH AT 1:00 P.M.. SILVER POINTS WILL BE AWARDED. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 60 YEATS OF AGE OR OLDER TO PLAY. THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL $1 CHARGE FOR THIS GAME.
DIRECTORS' COURSES WE NEED DIRECTORS. HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT BECOMING A DIRECTOR AT OUR CLUB? WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR MEMBERS WHO WOULD BE WILLING TO TAKE ON REGULAR OR OCCASIONAL DIRECTING DUTIES. THE ACBL RUNS ONLINE COURSES VIA ZOOM, SOME DURING A WEEK IN THE EVENING AND OTHERS SATURDAY TO SUNDAY. THE NEXT COURSE SCHEDULED IS FROM MARCH 31 TO APRIL 3 IN THE EVENINGS FROM 7:00 TO 10:00 P.M.
