| Board Positions |
The Board is comprised of 8 Directors, each serving a two-year term. Each year there is a turnover of half of the positions. This ensures that there are always people with experience remaining on the Board and provides an opportunity for all other bridge players to indicate an interest in serving on the Board. This year the positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary need to be filled. It is always challenging to find new candidates to serve on the Board so we are very pleased that both the President and Vice-President will stand for re-election. The Secretary has served her two-year term and our current Director at Large has expressed an interest in running for that position. The Treasurer’s term has ended and our accountant is willing to sit on the Board as Treasurer. Lastly, we have someone prepared to fill the vacancy created in the Director-at-Large position.
These moves are summarized as follows:
TREASURER (Melanie Hamilton nominated)
DIRECTOR-AT-LARGE (Sandy Campbell nominated)
SECRETARY (Marlene Steele nominated)
PRESIDENT (Darrell Rowe nominated/seeking re-election)
VICE-PRESIDENT (Lyn Stevens nominated/seeking re-election)
Please note that all the positions are considered vacancies and we invite you to contact our Nominating Committee if you are interested in filling one of the openings. If more than one person is interested, an election will be held at our Annual General Meeting in May. Job Descriptions for each of these positions are found on the webpage in the blue menus. If you are interested in serving as a Board member, please contact one of the nominating committee members by April 12, 2026: Sandy Campbell (sandracampbell4336@gmail.com) or Lyn Stevens (lynstevens@hotmail.ca)
