A full Petersfield team of Mike Kinsey, Lillias, Owen Leigh and James Clark won the recent Philip Graham Swiss teams at Lymington Bridge club.

Although the top 4 teams were all very close, it was an excellent result for Mike as he was also directing, organising the triple and handling the many calls he had throughout the afternoon.

Lymington club laid on an excellent lunch and tea so our thanks to them.

Well Done.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Steve Preston playing with another player  - who was the winner of the recent Hampshire Swiss Pairs.
This event was at a new venue for HIWCBA - the IBM Hursley Sports and Social Club, and it was a great success. Most interesting was at the end, Peter Crouch gave a discussion on the hands and gave tips on general play and bidding.

He particularly mentioned the Kaplin Rubens hand evaluation which members can access via this link - www.jeff-goldsmith.com

 - perhaps something similar should happen after all HIWCBA events.

Congratulations

Steve Scott and Simon M Taylor were absent form the Bloxsom Swiss pairs at Hursley park (see other news item below), because they were playing hard and well online all weekend- competing in the 2024-2025 National Pairs Final.

They finished 3rd gaining over 7 green points. Soon on the way to Grand Master?

Well done.
