Thorpe Bay Bridge Club is located in the Old School House, Southchurch Blvd. With around 200 members of all playing abilities, from beginners to Grand Masters. The Club is EBU-affiliated with its own car park and extensive street parking. 

Visitors are always welcome to all sessions and lessons. The weekly calendar includes the following sessions:

        MONDAY AFTERNOON            2:00 pm

        TUESDAY ASSISTED               2:00 pm (for beginners)

        WEDNESDAY LESSON           10:10 am (except holidays)

        WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON      1:30 pm (hosted)

        WEDNESDAY EVENING           7:15 pm 

        FRIDAY AFTERNOON              2:00 pm

Apart from Tuesday Assisted for beginners and Wednesday Afternoon (hosted) for improvers, all the above are EBU MP/NGS rated duplicate pairs tournaments. Events are subject to change, so please check the Club Calendar for any variations. Payment for all events is made by credit/debit card.

How to Pay

To prepay, click on the event above OR under the Menu (top left) click on the event to make a payment online. Payment can also be taken on Square POS card readers at the Club. This process allows members to complete payment safely and hygienically using a credit or debit card online or at the Club.

If you play anything more complicated than the basic Acol system, both players should have an identically completed convention card giving details of the system that they play, along with the meaning of all artificial calls, and their system of leads, signals, and discards. These should be left on the table throughout the bidding and play, so that your opponents can consult them.
