An amazing result today for Sarah & Denise, top N/S by a mile, with seven outright tops in only 16 boards played.   Well done, also, to the E/W winners, the newcomers Janet & Patricia. And this week the shufflers/dealers did a bit better, providing a biddable slam on Board 18.   Board 5 also looks as though it was a biddable slam, although no one in fact bid it.  Next session: 3 April

21 March 2025 - Oake SPG

Congratulations to Elizabeth & Jenny, top today N/S with 66.67%, Peter & Terry running them fairly close in second place. E/W winners were Marion & Ken, with Liz & Maggie P. second    The fixed deal was Board 4, on which ALL the N/S pairs disappointed me!   I gave you a combined 33 HCP, not to mention a 9-card Diamond fit, yet no one bid a slam.   Everyone made 12 tricks.  I thought it would just be a matter of seeing how many ended in 6NT and how many in 6D.   Next session:  4 April.  This will be the only session in April, as 18 April is Good Friday.
