The clu b is sad to announce that Geoff passed away recently after a short illness. Geoff’s funeral will take place on Friday August 1st at 2pm at St Agatha’s Church Brightwell cum Sotwell Wallingford Oxon, OX10 0RU.

 It is with great sadness we report that Geoff Nicholas died on 10th July. He fell ill after Covid but tragically never fully recovered.
Geoff played a key role in the management of Aylesbury Bridge Club as well as being a valued member of both Wallingford Bridge Club and the Oxfordshire Bridge Association.
He reached the rank of Grand Master and his many achievements included running both the OBA Seniors at Wallingford and the OBA Wessex League. The bridge world will miss his motivation, enthusiasm, friendliness and compassion.
Geoff's funeral is Monday 18th August, 1:45pm at the Hampden Chapel in Amersham (Chilterns) Crematorium.

As you may notice at the club my apple trees are in full production. I also like to make jam and chutney. Please can you bring to the club any spare jars you may have. 375g are the best size. Last year £1,600 was raised for Cancer Research and British Heart foundation.

| BRIDGE TASTER SESSION – WALLINGFORD BRIDGE CLUB SATURDAY 16th August |
 Have you ever wanted to try bridge but don’t know where to start? Wallingford Bridge Club is the largest (and arguably friendliest) bridge club in the area and will be running a free taster session on Saturday 16th August 9:30am – 1pm in our clubhouse near Wallingford, where you can give it a go. No need to pre-book bridge sessions!
For RealBridge sessions, simply click the link in the RealBridge table (also on the front page) shortly before the session is due to start.
For face-to-face sessions at Berrick and Roke Village Hall, table money is taken through your EBU number entered into Bridgemates.
Each session costs £2.50.
Payment for all sessions is by direct bank transfer.
